This I believe 
Education System in Myanmar
This
is what I believe about the education system in my country. I am from Burma but
now i am become a citizen of America. I like the education system in United
States. To compare with my country’s education system, it is ways too much
lower than United States. In my country, even though the students graduated
from Universities with professional degrees, they cannot get high pay and
cannot transfer their credits to other countries. For example, most of my
friends who already finished medical school from my country want to continue
their education in United States. Unfortunately, they cannot get transfer
credits. They came to New York City and tried to take USMLE tests, but cannot
pass the test. It is not because they are bad in test taking, it is because of
the education system they had learned in Myanmar is not high enough standard.
The answer is all depend on the government of Myanmar. Since 1988, the
government took all the authority to overwhelm the students. The purpose of the
government is to block the way of the student’s future. So the students cannot
continue their education in other countries and cannot protest against the
government authority with aid of the foreign countries. Then the government
changed the education system to the lowest standard. Starting from that time,
the students cannot achieve higher education system. Not higher in the school
system can make the students under the government control. Nowadays, the
graduated students started complaining about the education system since they
cannot get back enough credit even though they spend their student’s life for
long time. That’s lead to the civil war and many people are asking for
Democracy. If the government changed to higher education system that can
compare with the system from foreign countries, there might not have those
kinds of crisis.
